We've been keeping a watchful eye on South Florida during our travels and we've noticed a movement of the culinary persuasion is taking hold of the 305: a brunch boom. Maybe it's the forthcoming change in season or the fact that we all need unlimited mimosas to get over the trauma of Spring Break in Miami—whatever the reason, we're amped to come home and try them all. Below we list eight brunch updates that are new around town, including special Easter and weekend brunch events we can look forward to in the coming weeks. Happy brunching!
1000 South Miami Avenue, Brickell
Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., starting April 3
One of our favorite purveyors of $1 bubbles is upping the ante with a new happy hour and a new brunch launching at their rooftop terrace on March 31 and April 3, respectively. Their brunch is full of delicious bites such as serrano ham croquettes (which we plan on eating in mass quantities), chicken and waffles and huevos rotos, which for a limited time can be accompanied by $1.99 mimosas.
When Nikki Beach added a bloody mary bar to their brunch buffet, we thought nothing else would ever top it...then they brought us the deconstructed eggs benedict casserole with Sous Vide style egg, broken biscuit and Chef Frank's signature hollandaise, baked in a terra-cotta cazuela dish. Yes, please!
530 Ocean Drive, Miami Beach
Saturdays and Sundays, starting March 19
Burrito revuelto, ranchera omelette, and scrambled egg quesadilla sound more like your speed? Starting this Saturday and Sunday, you can also get your bottomless mimosa, bellini, and bloody mary fix at Jalapeño for $19.95.
809 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach
Saturdays and Sundays, starting March 19
Their brunch menu of traditional chorizo argentino breakfast, lox and eggs benedict welcomes bottomless mimosas, bellinis, and bloody marys for only $19.95 starting at brunch this Saturday and Sunday.
4041 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach
Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., starting March 19
We're amping for this weekend's launch of TALDE's new monthly brunch series, Brunch Life. The "So Miami" affair will feature all-you-can-eat 305-inspired dishes like ropa vieja dumplings, fried rice and beans with lechon in a yuzu mojo, and crispy avocado bao buns for $30.50 per person. Miami man, myth, and legend Otto Von Schirach will curate the vibes with a soundtrack of his signature booty bass, plus some old school hip-hop and rap. Did we mention there will be twerk-offs?
8601 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami
Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sundays from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Last Saturday, this Miami newcomer launched a bottomless brunch that is as non-traditional as their menu. For $25 per person, you can select between the house red or white wines, the chef's choice of beer, or mimosas to accompany decadent dishes such as french toast brioche with guava, organic eggs benedict and their popular Pinch Burger. If you like ample options, Pinch Kitchen's new bottomless brunch is watcha want.
1818 South Young Circle, Hollywood
Sundays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Okay, so this one may be a bit far for our Miami folks but we promise you it's well-worth the schlep. Every Sunday for $21.95 per person, Mamma Mia's Brunch, Bubbles and Beats means you can eat your fill of over 50 dishes, including breakfast, sushi, and small plates, and drink your fill of mimosas and bloody marys over live music. And, guess what? The drinks are included in the super affordable price.
601 North Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale
Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Beauty and the Feast in the Atlantic Hotel and Spa offers an all-you-can-eat brunch priced at $29.95 with brunch favorites like an omelette station, a carving station, small plates, and a dessert bar. While this one is also a bit far for us Miami-ans, we are willing to make the drive for a special occassion like the Oceanfront Easter brunch they will be hosting on Sunday, March 27 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The price per person for this special brunch is $49.95 and will include additions to their regular menu including a pasta station and a parfait station.
