#ThankYouMiami for Incredible Opportunities - Premios Billboard 2014

Have you ever had an experience that was so much fun you couldn't help but smile? For me, the Premios Billboard 2014 was it. I was over the moon when Telemundo Media invited me to join other bilingual Miami bloggers to the Blogger Cafecito for the Billboard Latin Music Awards. It turns out the promise of coffee, pastelitos, and a behind-the-scenes sneak peek were just the tip of the iceberg. Join me in reliving with photos this unique opportunity that is yet another reason to say #ThankYouMiami! Estaba súper emocionada cuando Telemundo Media me invitó a convivir con otras bloggers bilingües en el Blogger Cafecito de los Premios Billboard. The Blogger Cafecito was an opportunity for local bloggers to get a behind-the-scenes look at the production of the Billboard Latin Music Awards the day before the event. Powered by caffeine and sugar, we joined representatives from Telemundo Media in touring the Bank United Center where the awards were held.

The Blogger Cafecito was hosted by actress, presenter, model, and host Cynthia Olavarria. Cynthia's infectious energy helped to build momentum for the evening, as well as the awards.

As part of the Blogger Cafecito, we had the opportunity to warm up the red carpet for the stars. We also got a sneak peek of red carpet prep. Here, Mun2 host and fashionista, Crash, is caught rehearsing.

The long red carpet required so many different components to help put it together. It was awe-inspiring to see the magic in action.

During our tour, I spotted a few members of Regional Mexican Songs Artist of the Year winner, La Arrolladora Banda El Limón de René Camacho, on the stage at the end of the red carpet. ¡Felicidades por sus cinco premios, compadres!

Me and the other fashionably-clad bloggers looked like this during every moment of the tour. Because what blogger can resist the urge to document the rarely documented behind-the-scenes action?

Back at Blogger Cafecito headquarters, we were greeted by more surprises, one of which was singer-songwriter Leslie Grace.

Banda Sinaloense MS, a regional Mexican band, was also among the surprise guests. As a Mexican in Miami, I am always proud to come across other Mexicans in Miami who are living their dream. I really enjoyed learning about their journey as musicians.

Also among the guests was this charmer. The Target dog was as adorable in person as he is in the company's ads that I couldn't help going in for the kill on our first date.

My favorite moment of the Blogger Cafecito was when I was introduced to Luis Coronel, who won New Artist of the Year. We chatted about his visit to Miami and his opinion of our beautiful city. I was not surprised to discover his favorite part about Miami are the beautiful people.

Through the Blogger Cafecito, we were able to witness first-hand the hard work and dedication that it takes to put together a premiere event like the Billboard Latin Music Awards. It was an incredible opportunity to be invited to return the next day to enjoy the fruits of everyone's labor. Above, I am featured wearing a Betsey Johnson dress with an Aldo clutch near the red carpet.

From the Billboards Fan Pit, me and other bloggers were among the fortunate who enjoyed the evening from within the stage. The energy in the fan pit was intoxicating during each and every performance.

The action at times came very close like when host of La Voz Kids, Jorge Bernal, hopped into the Fan Pit for a visit and took selfies with his fans.

Heartbreaker, Cristian Castro, also interacted with his fans by throwing the fan pit a sultry glance during his performance.

Among my favorite memories were Andrea Boccelli's two performances. His duet with Laura Pausini of "Vive Ya" later in the night was one of the event's most magical moments, made all the more magical by the fantastically crafted set.

This would not be a fair recap of the Billboard Latin Music Awards without showing Marc Anthony receiving an award, as he was the big winner of the night. Congratulations, Marc, for all of your awards, including Artist of the Year!

Despite the recent loss of his mother, Chayanne put his all into performing his new single "Humanos a Marte" and his fans were quick to return the love.

True to form, Prince Royce melted the hearts of fans near and far. During his performance, I was counting my lucky stars because I know every "Roycenatica" would kill to have the opportunity we had to interact with him from the Billboards Fan Pit!

The night concluded with back-to-back performances from musical genius, Marc Anthony, who had the entire venue on their feet dancing and singing along to his mega-hit "Vivir La Vida". The Billboards Latin Music Awards were truly a manifestation of the song's message.
